About John

I was born and raised on Cape Cod. I have spent most of my life in the landscaping industry in one fashion or another across the cape. After high school I attended UMASS Amherst studying Agriculture.

In 2003 I began to enter the next phase of my life of becoming a small business owner, creating John P. Fougere Inc.

Initially my business was focused on landscape maintenance, hardscape, landscape construction, irrigation and cemetery work. As time went on I became more passionate with the history and art of stone carving and the engraving of monuments.

My heart is in the whole process from beginning to end; whether it be talking with a family who would like to honor their loved one in a special way designing, editing, and then ultimately bringing their vision to reality.

Or a simple design to represent the simplicity of life.

I am constantly learning new techniques and seeking new ways to improve more design options and creativity.

Both modern and historical stones each tell their own story that is preserved in time. To restore a stone that is hundreds of years old is an art in itself, while following the industry standards honoring the hard work of the previous stone crafter who originally created the memorial.

My commitment lies in providing exceptional services to my clients and their departed loved ones. Collaborating closely with families, I strive to create their visions of remembrance and love, ensuring each tribute crafted with utmost care and dedication.
